We are a group of ladies who are interested in sewing. We all sew different items, some garments, quilts, home dec and we seem to enjoy making small items like pincushion and baskets and boxes. Some of us like to make teddy bears and dolls and doll clothes. Being a rather large group (25 to 30) there are many interests. Some sew for grandkids, others enter contests, give classes and some sew for other people. And there are quite a few who sew for charity. At our meetings we catch up on what the Board is planning, then we have a Program or Demonstration and then Show n Tell. Show n Tell is always a fun time. After the meeting we go to lunch. Everyone is invited and encouraged to join in.

We are currently meeting the 1st Thursday of the month at 10:00 AM at Webster Groves Library, 301 E. Lockwood, Webster Groves, MO 63119.

Fabric Dyeing

At our March meeting, Karen presented items that were ice dyed, except that Karen used snow to dye the items. This was a new experience for Karen and she enjoyed explaining to us the differences in using snow versus ice.

Fabric Wreaths

In November, member Carol showed us how to make simple but beautiful fabric wreaths.

All About Knitwear

At our February meeting, member Nancy explained the ins and outs of knit patterns and fabrics. Nancy had printed handouts of various knit t-shirts with many variations of sleeves, necks, and collars. Thank you Nancy for sharing your expertise and showing us your Stretch and Show patterns.

Hats, Hats, Hats

At our February meeting, Nancy presented us with a colorful and fantastic trunk show of hats that she has made.

Fall Pumpkins

In August we started getting ready for fall by making these adorable fabric pumpkins with real pumpkin stems.

Baby Shower Donations

At our December 2017 meeting, we collected baby shower gifts for local charities including the St. Louis Crisis Nursery and Nurses for Newborns. This meeting will be our Christmas lunch, and will be held Thursday, December 7 at 11 AM at Hokkaido Steak, Sushi, and Seafood Buffet, 129 Concord Plaza Shopping Center, St. Louis, MO.
